Dear Ms. Dawson (Purple Rain Mix)

Dear Ms. Dawson,

Im still learning...im still young...but i must say...im growing up...and even tho i tried fighting it for years...its kinda dope...to see how far i've come...i just hooked my studio up today and it made me say "maybe that kid champloo isn't such a bad guy after all"...granted...some pics i posted on facebook might warrant me an african ass whoopin the likes that i couldn't imagine...but meh...she'll get over it...i want to thank you for blessing me with positive women in my life...to help me along this journey...one question tho ms. dawson....

Why is my culture so divided? Everybody is either on the dance craze OR talking about how hip hop is dead...me and ms proper got in a heated debate over this today...i personally feel that your old beau Jay-Z should step away from the spotlight...not even from an artist point of view...but from a fan's point of view...he's tainting the Jay-Z brand right now...i want to remember him in his Black Album classic days not his "Kanye is my little brother but im dressing like him and even biting his lyrics in my rhymes" days...Tiff (a so proper artist) went on to bash Soulja Boy...now...im not a big soulja boy fan BUT...lil homie does his thing...his music is dope if you take it for what it is...party/silly music...na'mean? They act as if just because nas common and Jay-Z didn't have verses on it and Pete Rock J.Dilla and Premo didn't do the beat that hip hop is dead...when in fact its evolving...honestly im one of the few artist who have found a middle ground in the music...mostly because im a producer...and to be honest...producers are the future...we mold the sounds for the artists and choose what the next musical landscape will be...anyway...what ms prop fails to realize that the next generation won't even know who big tupac or Jay are...and even tho some will bash them...you can't really...thas like my uncle bashing me for not knowing Rakim lyrics bar for bar...or my grand dad getting on him for not bumping Frankie Beverly and Maze (my granddaddy can't get me with that...im a old school music lover)...so ms. dawson...as we grow...so must our love for the music...don't you agree...

Love You,

E*Klipse Tha Champloo

crumbs.

day.
