Let me start by saying my mother and father have never agreed on anything. Not anytime in my memory. I don't even think the 3 of us have one picture together. But for the first time ever they do agree on one thing. That i should pursue music. Not because i think i can or its my dream but because im talented and it could actually happen. After releasing my last mixtape and seeing how i got little to no response from blogs or anything like that i was a little discouraged. I felt like the tape was good and even spawned a few songs on itunes including "IMRAW" (which will probably be in the club here in Japan for the majority of 2011). I didn't know what else to do. I even considering giving it all up. But then i got two packages in the mail one from my mother and one from my father. Both of which had all the ingredients to make a great MC/producer. If they can agree on this then i feel like i should keep pursuing it. Everything comes in time. I must pray and keep working.
NOW! 2010 has been crazy. I went from thinking i was gonna die in Texas to now literally "kickin up my feet in a loft in Tokyo" ...i never thought i was gonna make it here even tho its been my dream forever. But here i am enjoying it and living it up. One memory that sticks out in my mind. Well its 2. The first right before "ChamplooIsBadForYou" dropped i sent a track to Essay Real. He sent it back in probably a day or so which was dope because i had to send the features off a month early and as usual a few people flaked on me...but he spit a dope verse and sent it back quick...im thinking that was the end of everything...i sent him a few beats as well but then one night i got a phone call i didn't recognize the number and it was him and ms. bonnie ...who wanted to call me personally and say they phucked with me...they liked what i was doing and if i needed anything just call them...i listened to this dude back when myspace was poppin...i remember me and ms proper talking about thats how we needed to be back then and that had to be like late '05 early '06...i dunno it was just coo he didn't have to do any of that but he did... iight the next was in VA which was crazy to say the least (Calvin know what i mean *smfh*) ...just the whole experience... chillin with the rebels my family all that... AND OF COURSE CHARLOTTE! which i plan to move...its too dope...ahhh i miss it...i still love Norfolk tho but its time for a change but uh back to the story...i was in the Trap (Dante Lewis' studio) most of my time in VA because thats where the music was...even lucked around and got Micah Money's tape which was real cool of that dude to let me be apart of that... (and arguably the best song on the tape) but me and Dante was having a convo about were i intended to go next with my music...and i told him...mind you this dude is already making money off music...produced for Curren$y and OuttaSight ...only does music for a living...but then he says...yea thats the route to go...i was like okay...well i must be doing something right if somebody who is already where i wanna be is telling me...you know? but thats what stuck out to me...getting that go ahead from people like yea keep going because phuck its hard out here...but thru it all everybody has been supportive which is all i ask...from my homies Kevin and Dejai (who got my tape to Big Sean) to Dee who always is there to at least point my hard headed ass in the right direction...thanks to everybody... i know 2011 will be bigger as i remake my sound release more music and keep doing what i love
