"More or less, the same could be said for the following acts. The second performance consisted of a principle emcee named E*klipse the Champloo and some backup that didn’t make sense. I liked his vocal style immensely, but it seemed too loud, or rather, the beat seemed too weak. At a certain point in his set I came to the conclusion that all this guy needs to be a great live performer is some better production. There is nothing more anticlimactic than a good rap song with a club beat wobbling unconvincingly through the PA system. The set was not dragged down by this fact much, and not all the beats were club. Funky horns gave some a Chicago sound, a la Lupe Fiasco with big city charm; others felt like the South and were properly wild. A floor full of people stood enjoying it. Some people were dressed up in early Halloween costumes. Some danced while others blew bubble gum and swayed. "

champloo gets lonely too.

(my sisters are my only leading ladies right now)

so i've been at my dad's house for the past few days...i only come thru every once in a blue moon so its always dope to catch up with my lil brother and sisters...who seem to miss me alot...its really starting to inspire me...believe it or not i haven't made a song since "Champloo Is Bad For You" dropped...i mean i've penned enough raps to keep my warm for the winter but i haven't made any beats (well i made one like 2 weeks ago that was dope)...i've just been kickin it and listening to people...as a rapper after a while you run out of things to talk about i mean really...i mean times can i say im doper than you...im gonna take your girl...how evil tony danza is...stuff like that gets old...but being home has began the process...esp since im not releasing any solo mixtapes this year at all (2011) that is...i will drop an album at the top of 2012 tho so look out for that...im getting the ideas together now...alot of Kid Cudi Mos Def Pink Floyd Interpol Kanye West Blu J Dilla and Outkast have flooded these headphones over the last few days so there is really no telling what the next project will sound like...i would like some new music to listen to tho so def if you have any suggestions let me know...

(no glasses...a lil beard...but its still me)

so the last few days...have well...sucked...and to say i don't somewhat deserve would be stupid...with all the shenanigans i've been running out in here in VA...most of which involved my homeboy Calvin...*smh*....it was fun...BUT...the other day me and main lady called it quits (so to speak)...that was a real bummer...on top of that it was noticed today that someone had broken into my room back in Texas and took my PS3...oh how that hurt...i had games controllers the whole 9...it was my early bday present to myself...i hadn't even used it like talking about because well...my girl at the time didn't really condone it as lame as that sounds....but wait...did i mention that N*E*R*D had a listening party today in VA...and where am i? in NC...super fail on that one... (even tho im about to visit the BBC/Ice Cream store tomorrow which will be hella dope)...so im a lil bummed to say the least...not to mention im about to see my dad sometime this weekend...shoutout my lil sis...i swear if it wasn't for him me and him wouldn't even speak...that dude hasn't changed one bit and i don't think he ever will but for the sake of my relationships with my other brothers and sisters i have to be at least pleasant to the man i guess...*rubs temples*...i hope things start to look up for ya boy...

on a different note...i copped a book on music (thanks to the homie Dante Lewis who pointed me in the right direction) ...to well...further educate myself on the matter....it might sound stupid to some but to make that jump from beat maker to producer i have to push myself to do better...
