Its Been An Awesome Year...

the year is coming to a close but like yall needed me to blog that to know...anyway...its crazy cuz im looking back at this year and quite proud of myself...production for Ms. Proper, Kwalified, and Ced Hughes...i finally saw the release of my mixtape not to mention i have many more projects and such im getting on...i would have to say 2009 was my coming out party...my foot in the door if you will...its a blessing to be in the position im in...i had a convo with Gabe Niles yesterday...we spoke about music and all that...he gave me a few tips and ended with these words... "you have what it takes to make it....you just need to step it up"...and at first i didn't know what he meant but slowly but surely i can see...talking to my girl...now...she thinks DJ Unk is the ish...tho you may think music advice from somebody like that wouldn't matter...you just have to decipher the much encrypted message...lol...but 3 things i need to work on musically...

1. vocal expressions
2. more variety in topics and musical landscape
3. leave my musical safe house

much easier typed than done...known the less i feel like i can do it...so we start again...year a new...and hopefully much better...so please...tip glasses and shake asses i feel good about the future after 2009...my time is coming and by you reading my blog you are at the forefront you can read the chronicles up until i "make it"...so thank you to everybody who's been there supporting and lets keep the good music rolling until the end of time....

MERRY KRIMAH BRUH!

so..yesterday was an adventure to say the least...between the 8 hour drive...wading thru ice snow and random white people *smh*...Texas should never get snow again...it wasn't even that bad and you had cars on the side of the road for miles...i think we counted 30 in our journey...we almost thought we wouldn't make it...and if we hadn't our Christmas dinner would have consisted of pizza and assorted snacks..yikes!....but non the less we made it with little to no scratches...got up with my cousin ronnie and met my other cousin from FL...he raps too...we freestyled for hours then decided that we would start working together...he lives in Houston and goes by the name Low-Key dude can rap...after rapping for hours...we exchanged numbers and beat cds (and even convinced his father to manage and put money behind us...dude has connects too so we should be good) we did what any family would do on Christmas day...got drunk...*smh*...im glad my girl was around to take care of my drunk ass...it was mad fun tho...my lil cousin is 11...this mugfucka is so bad...im talking about cussin stealing my hat off my head...throwing up gang signs...so eventually i got fed up and caught that nigga and everybody took turns beating his ass...it was funny...homeboy started crying and everybody was laughing cuz he deserved that ass whooping...no sooner do i turn my head this lil nigga throw his fist up...and catch me in the bottom of my jaw...sad part is this isn't even the embarrassing part...i got mad immediately... (i blame the liquor in my system) and stuck this lil nigga one good time...then came to my senses and felt bad as hell...like i just beat the hell out of an 11 year old...*smh*...welp here's one to yule tide glee and all that....

Believe it or not...Christmas is my favorite time of year...this year is extra dope because im getting stuff from my moms and grandma...GRANTED! its not a PS3 or space jams that i asked for (mind you i had money time and energy to cop the space jams but decide to buy presents for other people instead...don't know what the fuck I WAS THINKING...this ain't no fucking Christmas special now is it?) im just happy somebody thought about my black ass...right now tho...we fin to roll to Dallas to chill wit my uncle...go thru his record collection and cook up dope...i mean honestly whats better than chillin with ya family on such a day? imma go on a beat making binge this weekend and record like crazy because in about 2 weeks i won't have the damn energy to make music like im used to...so once again im going back and forth with this chess in the clouds business lol...on the brighter side of things...imma chill wit my homie Dee next week for New Years...he gon drop some spoken word...and most likely i will be recording the tape at his crib as well...so....what did yall get me for Christmas? The GetAway

so as yall know...or may not know im in the military...and tho i wear the uniform i am very much a civilian hiding amongst these gun ho military lovers...so the other day i walk into the office and they inform me that i am deploying in the beg. of January for 4 months...damn...last i check i wasn't leaving until june which gave me ample time to record this mixtape and ep then drop them around march and may respectively...but now im a dilema because i don't know what to do about this mixtape...i want to finish recording it but i don't want to rush it either im only 3 tracks in out of the 17 or 18...they all just need to be recorded...but still...im feeling rushed...im not sure what im going to do just yet but when i know...you will know...im taking my computer with me so hopefully...they have internet and i can still blog and keep yall up to date with whats going on...pray for me and my family...either way if "Chess In The Clouds" doesn't come in January it will drop in May...followed by my "still untitled" ep which could have many names as of right now...but hopefully while im gone i can get my mind right...im going to download samples and sounds to last me the whole time in the mean time...

so its been a long weekend once again...kinda short but long...first lets start with the fact my God Son was born *yay* but it seems as if his father wants nothing to do with him *boo*...not its going to be anything that his son did for his father not to want to bother with him...its because of his mama...damn...like this chick is annoying...my aunt always told me "when you get ready to have sex with a girl think about her having your babies...and other than a few snafus here and there...i've held true to that...but it seems my homie didn't and know his child will suffer...which is sad...i grew up without a father and vowed that i would be a better man than my father was to me but i can't save every child right? i can't beat my home boy over the head to put aside his beef with his baby moms and think about the child...his choice is his choice...and i hope she opens her eyes and realizes that having that child to bring them "closer" was a horrible mistake...because its pretty obvious that he doesn't want her anymore...he broke up with her...she got pregnant 2 weeks later but didn't tell him til 5 months later...kinda messed up right? i was rooting for her at first but seeing how she is slowly losing her mind (this chick snapped on me because i forgot to bring her some food sheeeeesh)...i gracefully bow out....lets hope i can be the father that i've always wanted to my child....imma still help out the best i can but...at the end of the day im not the father...and thats not the mother of my child

i got my ass whooped in Mortal Kombat 3 by a girl yesterday..i think im in love lol...the production credits are rolling in as of late...i got 2 new joints from Ms. Proper one the way....one featuring her lil sis T Starz the other featuring this cat A.
